Guest Exhibitor of the Week: Brockleby’s Pies

Brockleby's logo with pie (GREEN) 02Brockleby’s Pies is a family business. Ian Jalland, the MD, is third generation farmer from the Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire border with a herd of Longhorn Cattle.

He opened a Farm Shop near Melton Mowbray in the early 2000’s which made pies (being Nr Melton Mowbray it would have been rude not to!) The pies proved so popular that the business focus turned to this. Brockleby’s now only make pies and the farm shop has been taken over by TheNottingham Food Festival Good Grub Company.

They have won numerous awards the most notable being:

  • Wild Beaver Pie British Pie Awards – Championship Steak & Ale 2012
  • Wild Deer Pie – British Pie Awards – Champion Pie
  • Fruits of the Forest – British Pie Awards – Championship Fruit Pie

gold BPAAll the pork and chicken in the pies is free range, the beef is farmed by us and the lamb comes form the Vale of Belvoir.
